As a painter with more than 30 years of experience, I've learned something that surprises a lot of homeowners...
It's usually not the paint that fails—it's the preparation.
A fresh coat of paint can make almost anything look great... for a little while.
But if peeling paint isn't scraped, rotten wood isn't repaired, or surfaces aren't properly cleaned and primed, those same problems will show up again sooner than you think.
When you're comparing painting estimates, don't just ask:
"How much?"
Also ask:
What's included in the prep work?
Will peeling areas be scraped and sanded?
Are they using primer where it's needed?
Will rotten wood be repaired or just painted over?
A quality paint job is about much more than putting color on a wall—it's about protecting one of your biggest investments.
We may not always be the lowest estimate, but we'll always be honest about what your home needs and why.
John's Tip:
A low price can be tempting, but a paint job done right the first time is almost always the better value.
